We are located in Picton, New Zealand, within 2 minutes walk to the town centre, foreshore & Marina, cafes, restaurants and shops. To the ferry terminal it is only
a 10 minutes walk.
On the foreshore you will find:
- Cinema
- Edwin Fox, which is the the 4th oldest ship in the
world
- Picton Museum's
- plus for the children the mini-golf, train rides and the
mini-boats to sail on the pool.
There are some great, easy walks in the Victoria domain
to Bobs Bay along Shelley Beach and along the snout. The walk to the dams in Essons Valley, and the Tirahanga walkway which gives magnificient views
over Picton.
The main walk, of course, is the Queen Charlotte Walkway. Boats can drop you off anywhere along the track route, leaving from town wharf, 2 minutes walk from the Motel.

There is a very good range of art and crafts galleries scattered around the region, all things from the patchwork, embroidery, knitting, pickles and sauces, planters and pots, we also have a very delicious chocolate maker.
The town of Picton has an excellent supply of craft and souvenir shops as well as select galleries, displaying the local artists' work, in all mediums: stone, iron, wood, beads and, of course, plenty of paintings.
